A Cure for Arthritis Pain? Stay tuned.

November 15th 2007 20:31
I am afflicted (cursed?) with arthritis pain, especially in the knees and fingers. Because of medications I take for other conditions, I cannot take any pain medication other than acetaminophen. The usual anti-inflammatory drugs are also out of the question.

I have not yet tried copper bracelets but this may have been my next try!

The other day I accompanied the Lovely Joan to our family doctor. I really like this guy because he is never in too much of a hurry to discuss and explain.

During the course of the appointment, I remarked that, perhaps because of the weather or some other condition, my arthritic pain was very great. The good doctor said that, while he couldn’t vouch for the efficacy of the treatment, many patients had reported less pain when following the “raisin cure”.

Under this regimen, white raisins (they must be the white ones, although they are really yellow) should be soaked in cheap gin for a minimum of three weeks. Then, nine (exactly nine, not eight or ten) raisins are to be eaten each day.

We bought the raisins today and already had cheap gin! My three weeks will be up December 6th. I will dutifully report the results.

In the meanwhile, does anyone out there have any non-drug suggestions?

Funny you should ask. EFT is an energy therapy, I've had great results with pain management and emotional issues. My website, ProsperityPromotions.com will give you more details, or you can research it by googling the term "Emotional Freedom Techniques" I also talk about it on my blog, FingertipTitans.com
No drugs, no hypnosis, and if you get no results, no fee!

Jim, I've never tried the copper bracelets, but I have used magnetic jewelry, and believe it or not, it works really well. I have more of a problem with back pain than arthritis, but it's supposed to work for all of it. You can get bracelets, necklaces, whatever. I think a bracelet would probably be best for you because it's better to wear the jewelry as close to the area of pain as possible. Try it, it really works.

Reporting: 12/6/07 was the end of the 3 week soaking of the raisins in gin. Since then, I've been eating 9 or 10 raisins a day, with a spoonful of the "juice". I am told that the first results will be known next month, but in the meantime, there are worse ways to start the day.
