My God can beat up their God

October 14th 2008 11:23
The McCain campaign has stated in recent days that its candidate cannot be responsible for the “nut cases” or crazies at the rallies.

Would that include the Pastor giving the official invocation?

What should have John McCain, the honorable John McCain, done?

Really Long Link

How about stopping everything and telling the Pastor to sit down and stop it?

Hey Jim I don't see how that prayer would do any good if anything it would anger God, as a Minister I would never say a prayer in that manner. I although I do pray that John McCain will win, but God may choose not to let McCain win just to punish America for her sins with a disastrous Obama administration.

The Bible does say he chaste those he loves, and our country has a lot sins to get chasten for.

Oh, Lord, that's just too much!

And God punished New Orleans for Gay Pride Week?

If that's the case - isn't He punishing us now with the disastrous Bush administration?

Lester,

God recently rewarded the homosexual citizens of Connecticut by granting them the right to marriage. He rewarded the liberals in congress with their getting elected. It looks like Obama stands to benefit from God's "punishment" of America.

I would assume that He's omnipotent; couldn't He find a way to punish us for our dastardly transgressions without rewarding those with which He (and assumedly you) obviously disagree?

Lester, the Bush administration was disastrous BEFORE the Democrats took control of congress. But, I'm sure you wouldn't agree on that point. I really don't think the result of this election - either way - will be a punishment from God.

Anonymous it rains on the just as well as the unjust. DeAnne I don't think God is going to get into this election as he gives us choices, but then we are held accountable for those choices.
